Job details Technical Sales Manager (IP NETWORKING SOLUTIONS)

This classic hands-on, Pre-Sales Management role will see you take full accountability for the successful delivery of technical presentations to prospects and customers, defining the solution in simple language for business stakeholders, and ‘covering all bases’ for the technical people at the client side, validating use cases, dimensioning and architecture.

Your acute awareness of customer needs, market intelligence and seeing the solutions deployed will be an important part of informing the companies product roadmap, so you will work closely with R&D as well as oversee the implementation itself.

Measured on revenues and customer satisfaction, we require strong, technical individual contributors rather than people who are just great people-managers.

To qualify, we require:

A self-starting and highly motivated individual who wants to win in competitive situations
ESSENTIAL - At least 5 years experience as a "Pre-Sales Engineer" / "Sales Engineer" or Target Carrying Technical Consultant, working with a vendor (EG Alcatel, Lucent, Nortel) or Systems Integrator
Ideally more than 1 year of people management or project lead experience
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with mobile and fixed IP-based network solutions – minimum of 5 years prior experience (ESSENTIAL)
Strong experience in selling IP network equipment into a Service Provider (Telecom) environment, with core network skills including RADIUS, AAA, TCP/IP, DHCP, LDAP, SNMP
Good background understanding and knowledge of network management software systems (AAA, Billing, NMS, LDAP) and their interaction/integration with network elements
Good working knowledge and understanding of software development technologies (Java, HTML)
Strong IP networking solution knowledge and skill set (e.g. Cisco CCNA, CCNP or equivalent)
Experience in developing and presenting solution designs as part of pre-sales activities
Strong presentation and communication skills, including Visio and Powerpoint packages
Accept regular travels in the region and occasionally transcontinental
