Job Description:
Determine the vision and provide strategic direction for Grocery. Lead the Grocery team to deliver for customers a product offer which satisfies all their needs and achieve sales, margin and profit targets by always working to the Better, Simpler, and Cheaper principles.
The Successful Applicant:
- 10+ years commercial experience, with breadth across a number of markets- Essential also to have: Grocery experience in grocery buying- Experience of working and delivering cross functionally - Strong leadership skills with successful track record of developing people, spotting talent and managing a team at senior level- Analytical and strategic thinking skills- A broad business leader able to develop balanced plans, which the business can afford to deliver - Able to deliver real change through others – strong influencing skills, a creator of natural tension, good communication skills with all levels of the business- Local knowledge and experience and/or cultural sensitivity
