This company has been providing engineering consulting services in Hong Kong since 1977. The Hong Kong office provides a range of engineering consultancy in mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, planning and environmental services. In Asia, they have offices in Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and Malaysia.
They require a business line manager who will be a an operational head over all disciplines in China. They currently have twenty project and seventy staff in the PM and CM division, the position can be based anywhere is China or Hong Kong. This is an operational role, not a business development position.
This position is the gatekeeper for business, ideally with an architectural background, and an eye for detail, with very strong commercial acumen. This position is to ensure the profitability of the projects. Someone who can identify risks before it becomes a problem. The Business Line Manager reports directly to the Head of China. There will be fifteen to twenty project managers reporting to this position. Experience of projects in the U.K., U.S. or Australasia is a must and English as the first language essential.
