Idealpeople are pleased to be working alongside one of Beijing’s highly-reputed Venture Capital firms in the search for a talented individual to take on a GM role in a stylish home furnishing company. This Norwegian franchise company has now made it to Beijing and is offering you an exciting opportunity with what is essentially a ‘start-up’ firm. Not only will you be given a chance to work with many global clients, but you will also be expected to significantly expand the reputation/revenue and success of a company which is rapidly growing in the most dynamic market in the world.
As an ideal candidate you can be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:
Developing/coordinating and implementing effective procedures and policies to ensure operational excellence and performance improvement
Supervising the Warehouse and Quality Control by bringing a ‘Foreign Eye’ into the QC process, and making sure that all staff members understand the high level of quality expected by customers.
Manage and assist the Purchasing/Sourcing team and ensure that all targets are met not only in terms of budget but also for new products.
Work with the Investor back office to ensure that all accounting and financial reporting is accurate and complete on a timely basis.
Coordinate communication between all departments so that the customer service rep has accurate information for the company’s partners/franchisees
Logistics: Implement and follow procedures that allow for a 95%+ success rate on shipments. (order accuracy, defects, shipping dates)
Oversee and demand a zero tolerance for any type of ‘kickback’ in all departments
Make sure that the online ordering system is accurate at all times
