This much admired organisation are looking to extend their already large APAC footprint, in particular in China. To complement their team of superior-quality Consulting Engineers, they seek to add EX-CIO/CTO-calibre Solution Architects to their business to bridge the gap between their custom IT solutions and the business.
Positions are available in: Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen & Guangzhou and involve extensive travel.
As well as providing leadership of a team of Project Managers, Implementation Engineers and Technical Architects in a matrix organisation, you will be the lead interface with C-level customers, able to explain in simple terms the benefits of multi-million dollar solutions, and also ensure that the architecture delivers ROI as well as resilience and stability.
Typically, Projects will involve products and services such as:
DataCentre Automation and Optimization
SOA
Storage & Security
LINUX / Open Source Platforms
Applications Architecture
HPC, Blade Servers, High Availability Systems
ITIL and ITSM
Above all you will be the person that ensures that the IT delivers for the business.
As our ideal candidate, you will already be working in either a CIO/CTO type role for an end user organisation, or a Solution Architect / Technical Authority (or similar) in an IT Managed Services or COTS Product Vendor (EG CA, SAP, Oracle, Dell, Microsoft).
You will be fluent in Mandarin and English. You will have exceptional business skills.
You will understand the ‘rules of engagement’ and how to create value as well as protect margins. You will be a natural leader and perfect partner to the Sales/Presales and Marketing team. You will have strong technical skills in at least two of the above areas.
