Job details Job Description:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and functionally to the Head of Tax, this is an autonomous and hands-on role that will help build the tax function within the Hong Kong and China region. Working closely with the global tax team and interfacing with external tax advisors, the role will be extensively involved in the management of tax advisory, planning and compliance issues across the various jurisdictions with which the business operates. With initial focus on Hong Kong and China tax issues, the role will progressively expand his/her geographical scope across the Asia Pacific, European, Middle-Eastern, and Africa region. Given the industry nature that involves considerable cross border dealings as well as the company’s recent acquisition and restructuring, this newly created position is especially crucial to the coordination of the transfer pricing policies and the implementation of a tax efficient structure.

The Successful Applicant:
This is an exciting position that requires a proactive and highly motivated tax professional with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should be a qualified accountant, with 5-6 years tax experience, ideally gained within a professional firm or multinational corporations. Expertise with Hong Kong and China tax issues will be crucial while experience in some cross-border tax exercises will be highly valued. A strong command of English and Mandarin are a prerequisite.
