A position has recently arisen for a mid level lawyer in the Hong Kong office of a world leading financial institution. Reporting to the Regional Head of Legal, the successful incumbent will be advising on legal and regulatory issues in pensions, funds, trusts and other cross border business activities. The person will work directly with business lines and it is essential that the candidate be able to communicate effectively, show initiative, and understand the commercial aspects of the business. Applications will be considered from Commonwealth qualified lawyers with over 5 years PQE who possess broad banking and finance experience gained in a law firm, or have experience dealing with Hong Kong regulatory authorities. Previous management and/or supervisory experience would be preferred. Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills in both English and Cantonese are necessary for this role while Mandarin would be advantageous.
