An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the worlds leading banks as a Project Manager Equities. The successful candidate will be part of project management office for the IT, Equities group in Asia.
Responsibilities
This role reports to the principal PMO in Asia Pac Equities IT and will be responsible for some of the functions outlined under the direction of the overall PMO for the region. The PMO group is responsible for:
Managing the groups budget and headcount
Managing the groups project office, including plans, specifications and planning tools
Interfacing with Equities IT PMOs & PMO groups globally
Working to manage the groups compliance with corporate and strategic initiatives such as, SDLC+ compliance, ProjectWeb compliance, Equities IT score card compliance
Management information provision and presentation preparation
Special Circumstances
Significant amount of communication needed with other locations globally, which can necessitate early mornings or late evenings
Occasional travel to other offices in US and Asia may be required but not expected to be a frequent requirement
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have excellent proven track record of delivery in the PMO function in a large project environment and experience of working in an international investment bank
Experience of IT in a front office trading environment, financial tracking/management of projects and/or IT Project Management experience would be an advantage
Experience of working in a globally distributed group
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft office applications (specifically Excel & Powerpoint)
Ability to work under pressure as part of a team across geographical locations
