Provide process engineering support and liaison to PCB/A suppliers to ensure that purchased PCB/A meet divisional objectives including quality, reliability, cost and product safety.
Work with Commodity Managers to jointly and consult with R & D and Manufacturing Engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Jointly work with Procurement Executives, Commodity Managers and consult with R&D and Manufacturing Engineers to develop and implement commodity strategies.
2.Jointly work with Procurement Executives /Commodity Managers to evaluate and select suppliers.
a)Evaluate and select suppliers based upon their ability to design, and the capability of their processes to manufacture PCB/A that meet divisional needs.
b)Evaluate supplier performance in the Technology and Quality areas of TQRDCE.
3.Jointly work with Procurement executives/Commodity Managers to manage the current PCB/A supplier base. Main contact with supplier for all quality related issues.
a)Assist and participate in contract negotiations with suppliers.
b)Monitor and drive improvement in performance of the suppliers’ technology (design/process capabilities) and quality programs (SPC/TQC/TQM).
c)Lead/direct process improvements in the suppliers’ design and manufacturing capabilities to lower costs and improve quality.
d)Manage supplier yield improvements and supplier action management.
e)Provide technical understanding of supplier capabilities to R & D and Manufacturing Engineers.
f)Keep abreast of technology trends and developments in assigned commodities.
4.Identify new suppliers with new technologies useful to the division.
5.Provide technical consultation:
a)Provide advice and consultation to PCB/A supplier in their position responsibilities.
b)Consult and guide R & D and Manufacturing Engineers in the roadmap of development in PCB/A process technology.
6.Contribute to the success of the technology teams and consult with procurement peers to develop and share best practices.
7.Understand current regulatory and safety issues and how these apply to suppliers and commodities.
8.Maintain engineering skill and competence in engineering degree discipline. Develop technical expertise in the application of parts. Develop understanding of processes used to manufacture parts in assigned commodities.
9.Coordinate activities with personnel at other divisions and Corporate to achieve materials standardization.

Qualifications
Musts:
1.Bachelors Degree or Master in electrical, electronic or similar technology or equivalent combination with minimum of 5 years relevant experience. 2.Demonstrate ability to apply technical skills/electronic principles in test and analysis of products and assemblies. 3.Demonstrate ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectives. 4.Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English and Chinese. 5.Demonstrate project management skills 6.Knowledge of NPI process and manufacturing processes
