Agilent is a leading provider of analytical solutions to customers in the Environmentalal, forensics, Environmental & flavors, petrochemical, chemical, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries worldwide. The company provides analytical scientists a range of instruments, systems, consumables, supplies and services. We are looking for a Country Segment Manager to support the strategic business objectives of the Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit (CASU) as they pertain to growth initiatives within the Environmental Testing Marketing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the worldwide Environmental Testing team of Agilent Technologies. The Country Segment Manager will be responsible for understanding the inter-relationships and budget processes of the government ministries, developing VIP relationships, and leading strategic technical collaborations with key customers. The Country Segment Manager will also develop VIP relationships and lead strategic technical collaborations with companies in the private sector that will play a major role in the development of the Environmental safety and quality testing programs in China. This position will be key to help Agilent Technologies win business in the Worldwide Environmental Testing market.
The China Country Segment Manager will report into the Worldwide Industry Marketing Organization in the Chemical Analysis Solutions Unit and work closely with the Solutions Unit, European and India Environmental Segment Managers to help develop a worldwide business and marketing plan. The business and marketing plan will create awareness for Agilent’s leadership in Environmental Testing, preference for our products and increased market share.
Responsibilities
1.Maintains key relationships and collaborations with government and private sector leaders
2.Develops a country marketing and business plan as part of the Worldwide Environmental Testing marketing and business plan
3.Identifies regional growth opportunities and develops short and long-term strategic plans with the local channels to increase sale
4.Leads, collects and summarizes the industry market trends, customer needs and competitive data in the government and private sectors.
5.Helps define new product solutions, marketing programs and strategic plans for the Environmental Testing market in China
Qualifications
Qualifications- Must Requirements
• University Degree in the physical or biological sciences with 5+ years experience working in the government or private sector of the Environmental Testing industry.
• Must have a proven track record of developing and leading impactful results through marketing programs and key customer relationships
• Strong leadership ability to work collaboratively across Corporate Divisions, Regional Sales Organizations, Marketing Centers and other Worldwide Country Environmental Segment mangers to reach common goals without relying on positional authority
• Expertise to understand changes in customer needs, market trends and competitive conditions in the industry and recommend and implement action plans to increase business and market share
• Understanding of Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry or Biological techniques tools used in Environmental Testing laboratories
• Strong communication, presentation, collaboration and team work skills.
• Must be available for travel up to 35-40%
