Global Investment Bank with an aggressive approach in the Asia Pacific region seeks an experienced and dynamic Fixed Income Product Controller to join its growing team.
In this hybrid role, you will be providing accounting and analytical support to business globally covering numerous business lines.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in the development of the Finance Control requirements to support this new business.
Preparation of the daily P&L reports for the business, including reconciliation, analytical review and providing commentary to senior management
Preparation of the month end Balance Sheet reports for the business.
Close liaison with the trading desk to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of trader queries and provision of other ad-hoc business support.
Close liaison with Middle Office, Market Risk, Operations and other Finance teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries.
Performance of independent pricing procedures, liaising with internal and external parties to source independent price data.
Development of procedures and controls including P&L and independent pricing processes.
Understand source system breaks/reconciliations and assist the Ledger Control team in investigations and clearing breaks.
To provide other ad hoc support to the Product Control London team on daily and month end reporting duties.
Perform regular SOX testing and controls.
Project work covering controls enhancement, efficiency initiatives and strategic developments
As the successful candidate you will have the following:
A strong team player with high attention to detail.
Self motivator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Newly qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
Have a minimum of one year PC experience in an investment bank
