A position has recently arisen in a market leading Bank for a Legal Counsel in their Regional Consumer Banking Group. Based out of Singapore, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing general legal advice and support to Consumer Banking business lines, advising on changes and developments of laws and regulations applicable to the business, developing and maintaining appropriate procedures and facilitating the resolution of legal and contractual issues as required. Applicants should have at least 3 years PQE, preferably in the financial services industry as well as an in depth knowledge of banking and financial services laws and regulations, and ideally consumer banking practices. Fluency in English is expected for this role. Candidates will be considered from other practice areas in the legal sector (corporate, litigation etc) as long as they can demonstrate a genuine interest in the role, and as such, this is an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking their first in-house position.
