Job details Our client is a leading private land-owner and developer of high quality real estate assets in China. They are currently looking to develop a large mixed use project, consisting of retail, residential, and commercial assets.
Currently in design phase, they are currently looking for a General Manager - Retail to join the team to drive and manage the retail mall project.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire development project
- Management of the current design phase, coordinating with internal and external parties to ensure the investment strategies can be achieved
- Oversee the relocation of existing tenants, enabling development process to commence according to schedule
- Manage the construction of the development, ensuring that partners and out-sourced parties complete project on schedule, within budget and to the required quality
- Positioning of the retail centre – collaborating with internal and external consultants to ensure that the retail asset performs as efficiently and profitably as possible
- Driving both internal and external agents to maximise sales and leasing of the mall
- Asset management – overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shopping mall including facilities and property management as well as sales and leasing to enhance and maximise rental return and enhanced value of the asset

Requirements:
- Exceptional experience within the retail real estate sector, with a minimum of 5 years on the ground experience in Mainland China
- Experience of managing a multi-billion RMB real estate project from acquisition, though to management
- Experience managing a sizeable retail centre
- Strong background in retail consultancy and leasing
- Strong managerial and communication skills
- Fluent English and Mandarin
- Strong reporting skills
- Ability to travel
