About Our Client:
Our client is a leader in home shopping in the field of Fashion & Home Decoration with over 25 offices and 20,000 staff worldwide. With close to 10 years of operations in China, they are now looking for a Divisional Merchandising Manager to lead the Northern China region and accelerate their growth.
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the China General Manager, you will be responsible for developing, supporting and executing sourcing strategies in Northern China.
* Lead a team of 20 merchandisers and manage closely on both quality and delivery issues of 15+ brands.
* Plan and communicate with brands and suppliers to ensure the consistency in brand's standards and guidelines.
* Drive via negotiation that ‘best’ terms (including costing and margin etc) are achieved.
* Oversee all aspects of Production Cycle, able to manage complexity.
* Develop and recommend appropriate merchandising processes and procedures.
The Successful Applicant:
* A minimum of 12 years of garment merchandising experience including 7 years in the management position;
* Degree in Business, Textiles or related field with experience in Multinational Buying Office Hands-on, flexible, diligent, and details-oriented;
* Strong leadership skills in managing the local workforce in Qingdao;
* Excellent communication skills and good command of English and Chinese.
