Our client is a U.S. leading apparel brand and is setting up its sourcing office in Hangzhou.
Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Global Sourcing Director based in the U.S., this position includes cross functional team interaction with Technical Development, Purchasing, QA, Planning, and Logistics.
* Experience in garment and textile construction and finishing processes.
* Experience in factory planning, forecasting processes and staff needs to meet production requirements.
* Responsible for costing/variances based on standards vs. actual for Finished Goods Suppliers.
* Responsible for direct initiatives to drive improvements in lead times, on-time deliveries, and overall cost reduction.
* Work closely with Transportation and Custom Compliance Department on all import and export requirements for production shipments coordination with logistic service providers.
* Work closely with COC, and Quality Departments on all items relating to product quality and audit processes in plant.
* Work as needed with raw material suppliers on all items relating to product quality for development and production.
* Responsible for collaborations and communications with plant in order to receive reporting data required for production sourcing suppliers.
* Responsible for in put of information for scorecards for supplier performance reviews.
* Responsible for supporting compliance programs for raw material, contracting, and sourcing suppliers.
* Responsible for introducing and requiring plant to abide to Standard Operating Procedures, Reporting, and Internal Controls required by WD pertaining sampling, costing, QA, and production.
* Work closely with Global Sourcing to meet Planning and Forecast needs, lead times and inventory issues.
* Responsible for Supply Chain and Lead Time Corporate Key Performance Indicators to include Department Metrics and variance data tracking and analytical reporting as needed.
The Successful Applicant:
* Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in China
* 5 or more years of experience in global supply chain, global sourcing or a combination of global sourcing/manufacturing expertise
* Working apparel manufacturing knowledge
* Ability to work cross-functional with departments internally and external suppliers and factories
* Excellent presentation and communication skills to all levels of associates, vendors, and suppliers
* Experience with analytical data and reporting tools, garment and raw materials costing, USA customs rules and Trade Agreement knowledge a preference.
