Job details This individual is fully accountable for all Human Resources activities and practices of NBA China offices (Beijing, Shanghai, Tapei). Working in both a strategic/consultative capacity, this individual will be responsible for developing appropriate strategies, systems, and tactics that will drive the employee dimensions of the NBA China's business strategy while being an advocate for employees. Responsible for assessing Human Resources needs while designing and implementing programs / initiatives and metrics to address NBA China business goals working with Departments Heads, Hiring Managers, and other NBA HR colleagues.

Major Responsibilities

1. Primary HR point of contact for NBA China with responsibility to strategically and proactively recommend, customize and implement effective Human Resources solutions to business issues and initiatives.
2. Manage a HR team composed of Recruiting, Compensation/Benefits/HRIS, and learning & Development specialists.
3. Create strategic recruiting & sourcing model and processes:
• Build, execute and sustain standard recruiting and sourcing processes for each department/market, to increase efficiencies
• Leverage the Applicant Tracking System that streamlines all staffing functions
4. Effectively partner with US based Human Resources and related functions - L&D, Recruiting, Compensation, HRIS, Benefits, and Legal 0 to advance the company's mission, values and business strategies.
• Serve as a bridge between NBA China and other HR functions.
• Demonstrate "skill and will" to defer to HR subject matter experts as needed.
• Act as a change agent to further business goals
5. Provide Employee Relations services to employees and managers including the following:
• Conflict resolution interventions.
• Advise and coaching to Senior Management and supervisors at all levels in the organization.
• Participation in performance and disciplinary meeting, including termination meetings a s required.
• Construct investigation in response to employee complains, including sexual harassment and other forms of alleged inappropriate workplace behavior.
• Identify solutions to recurring workplace issues or concerns by collecting/analyzing data as well as relying on personal observation as input into this procedures.
6. Assist in interpreting major HR initiatives in collaboration with other HR functional areas (i.e, Salary Planning, PDP processes, Employee Survey).
7. Administer and maintain all aspects of the NBA China's health and welfare benefits programs including leave plans, disability, health, dental, life and other programs.
8. Work with League office to compare NBA policies and United States best practice.
9. In conjunction with the US Compensation team, administer and maintain a market-based compensation strategy.
10. Proactively identify needed improvements to NBA China policies and work environment; partner with Senior Management to affect necessary changes.

Experience Needed

1. 10-12 years of experience in business with emphasis in Human Resource Management
2. Has worked or attended school in both China and the United States.
3. Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and assessing effectiveness of Human Resource programs.

Educational Background Required

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Labor & Industrial relations, general business or psychology is required. Advance degree in Labor & Industrial relations or MBA with focus in Human Resources preferred.
