Astbury Marsden has been mandated by a leading global financial services group to source an AVP to VP strategic planner to join the Asia Pacific strategic planning team based in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Strategic Planning and the COO the chosen candidate will be expected to lead and manage projects independently, while participating as a contributing member of the team overall.
The Planning department is also responsible for strategic agenda setting in the region and advisory to senior management. As such, the candidate is also expected to provide valuable insights into the business to drive the team’s overall strategic agenda as well as to be able to serve as an advisor to senior management.
The chosen candidate should be comfortable with preparing and presenting reports to a high standard and communicating ideas/thoughts in a concise, logical manner.
This leading FS organisation is looking for a mature candidate who has previous strategic consulting experience. Financial services expertise is strongly preferred; Capital Markets experience is valuable but not a deciding factor in the evaluation.
Main Duties will include: Identify key issues, strategic insights across the business structure independently project plans and execute in timely fashion, conduct rigorous, transparent analysis and develop insights/ recommendations, produce “client-ready” output and communicate findings, work collaboratively with internal clients, institutionalise knowledge in Planning Group, assist with internal planning responsibilities such as recruiting, as well as with management support as required.
