A large International Bank is seeking a Finance Transformation Platform -Project Managers to work as part of the Global Finance Change Programme.
The main objective is to strengthen the financial control environment and to improve the efficiency of Finance Divisions through the adoption of a globally consistent Financial Process Model. The FTP architecture comprises a few key components including the general ledger, accounting rules engine, instrument processor, financial data store and information delivery feed. Hong Kong is one of the major sites in the Global Pilot Rollout.
There are four areas within this team, each with different responsibilities, and are as follows :-
Mandatory Reporting
-Liaise with IT as well as local and Group Finance teams to define and document detailed Finance reporting requirements
-Assist in the design and testing solutions developed to meet these requirements
Accounting Rules
-Evaluate accounting rules based on existing products and financial systems
-Design and test accounting rules in the FTP and refine product-based standard accounting schematics, while ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Financial Data
-Define and document requirements for new and existing data attributes in accordance with agreed standards
-Support IT in data sourcing and data attribute storage for the new architecture
General Ledger
-Build a new chart of accounts in the FTP by taking local needs into account
-Refine general ledger controls designed on the new platform
-Reconcile financial information between the current and new platforms
To be successful in these positions, you need to meet the following requirements
-University Degree
-At least 8 years working experience in Finance for Senior Manager and at least 4 years for Manager level
-Sound knowledge of banking products and financial systems
-Working knowledge of IFRS
-Professional Accountancy qualification and relevant project experience would be an advantage
-Able to work under pressure in a dynamic, changing environment
-Good written and spoken communication skills
-Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
