My client already has a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region with a reputation in Australia and Hong Kong for highly innovative design and extremely prestigious projects. As their operations expand and their portfolio grows they are looking to develop a team in Beijing that can manage their work in the region. The practice operates with a unique research driven approach to architecture and is interested in hearing from senior level candidates keen to gain exposure to new ideas in design.
Based from their custom designed studio in Beijing the successful applicants will be expected to lead teams of designers on large scale retail, mixed use and hotel projects. The appointed candidate must be able to show a complete and extensive portfolio demonstrating previous design creativity. Extremely important is that applicants must have previous experience working within China and therefore a good understanding of Mandarin and English.
As the operations expand, there will be excellent scope for people to grow into director level positions and have a key role in developing the team in Beijing.
