As a result of a recent acquisition and significant expansion in the Asia Pacific Region, this established entrepreneurial group has created a new position as Supply Chain Manager - Asia for the Personal Care division. This area is expected to double in growth by 2010 in Asia.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director for Europe & Asia based in Paris, you will ensure the close co-operation between supply management, sales, and operation teams and driving sourcing towards optimal commercial terms. You will look to build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure that their performance consistently meets and exceed business expectations. Other key responsibilities will include; developing and monitoring supplier development activities through to implementing best practice systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Overall this role will be fundamental in contributing to continuously improving performance against specified criteria such as price, supplier performance, stock levels, new product introduction, lead times and payment terms.
The Successful Applicant:
To qualify for this role you should have;
Qualified purchasing experience from industrial and international business
Graduate with preferred degree in Engineering and or Economics
Fluency in English and Mandarin
Proven track record in negotiation and supplier development
Ability to manage a multi-site team and report to an international management team.
