Our client is a multi bio USD hedge fund is hiring a Trade Support Engineer/Analyst who will assist in providing 1st and 2nd line support to traders in Asia.
Function Profile:
Main responsibilities include supporting a variety of third party and in house front office systems ranging from execution platforms to market data applications as well as covering some risk management utilities. The successfully candidate will also be involved in projects to enhance current infrastructure and systems along with the introduction of new ones.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in supporting/dealing with traders in a professional and efficient manner
- Experience of using/troubleshooting some sort of front office/back office systems with good knowledge of how the components interact.
- FIX knowledge (basic or better)
- Good Unix skills.
- Eager to learn and able pick up new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of financial markets particularly Asian equities.
- Some knowledge of market data and delivery systems. Bloomberg and Reuters experience advantageous.
Advantageous Skills:
- Experience in using/supporting third party trade execution platforms.
- Shell/Perl scripting knowledge.
- Experience of Java.
- Excel/VBA Programming experience particularly with Reuters/Bloomberg API.
- Understanding of network infrastructure/VLAN's.
- Understanding/Experience of TIBCO RVD.
- Experience in dealing with 3rd party vendors and brokers.
