Our client is a leading US investment bank with a well-established JV and strong presence in China. An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the Finance team in Beijing.
Reporting to the Asia CFO in Hong Kong, you will lead the Finance team to prepare the firm's financial statements under China and US GAAP as well as to compile various regulatory, tax and statistical returns to authorities. You will also be responsible for forecasting, planning, monitoring regulatory capital and funding needs. As the functional leader, you will interacting with external auditors and regulators as well as to participate in business initiatives, development of processes and control procedures for new products.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
A university degree and a professional accounting qualification
Minimum 12 to 15 years relevant accounting experience in financial services
Proven senior level management ability with at least 6 years in a team supervisory role
Solid working knowledge of US GAAP would be highly advantageous
Ability to think broadly and to take a global view on issues
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin
