A top-tier bank, in view of its continued expansion, is looking to hire an exceptional, high calibre Support Manager for its Fixed Income group.



Successful candidate will be part of the Fixed Income IT, spread across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. The team’s primary function is to provide IT support for the Firm’s Fixed Income Business lines, primarily the Front Office. The business areas include Cash Trading, Structured Products, Electronic Trading, Global Loans, Leveraged Finance, Global Money Markets, Global Fx, Repo, Sales, Research and Corporate Banking, Proprietary Trading, CDOs, Analytics, Origination, Structured Product Control, Global Client Technology and Commodities. Additional areas include Architecture, Cross-Product Development (Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance) and Support.





This is a support role involving the handling of calls/emails from Commodities business users across Asia-Pacific and Europe. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with the business and resolve incidents by coordinating with other IT teams.



Responsibilities

•Management of Repo IT BAS and TAS support function in Singapore which includes team leading, capacity / resource planning, hiring and training staff, liaison with development teams and Repo IT management etc

•Face off to APAC and EMEA trading desks as well as other middle and back office users

•Manage production incidents by direct resolution or ensuring ownership

•Drive and implement global Repo IT support strategy and best practices

•Collaborate with FID IT support managers to drive and implement Global and Regional support frameworks

Special Circumstances : The successful candidate will be expected to partake in shift rota to work on Asia Pacific and London hours



Requirements

•Degree qualification in IT from reputable university

•At least 5 years relevant work experience preferably in financial industry

•Strong team leading experience

•Good Sybase or Oracle experience

•Good experience supporting Unix / Windows environments

•Exposure to Fixed Income specifically Repo

•Demonstrate a high degree of technical and/or business related experience

•Good track record in managing a support team, preferably in an investment bank, facing off to senior business or technical leaders

•Client focus, particularly in the area of service excellence

•Excellent communication skills

•Excellent decision maker and critical thinker

•Excellent problem solver
