Overall responsibility:
The Account Director (AD) is part of the Client Service team in their office and in a larger office will belong to a specific Client Service Team. Their primary responsibility is the management of accounts with a team of professional researchers.
Key responsibilities:
The Account Manager Qualitative is responsible for:
· the overall quality and profitability of the services provided to his/her
clients with minimal supervision from the Group Account Director (GAD) or
Managing Director (MD)
· management of revenue budgets set for those clients, in collaboration with
the GAD or MD
· overseeing relationships with their identified clients, ensuring that their
needs are being met and that they are receiving appropriate levels of
service, with minimal involvement from the GAD or MD
· new business development amongst existing clients and identification and
development of new business opportunities outside the existing client base
· involvement with projects for his/her clients, including interpretation,
development of recommendations and presentation of findings
· assistance with management of staff in his/her team or office, with the
GAD or MD, including assistance with:
o recruitment of staff
o training and career development of staff
o annual evaluations and monitoring of progress of staff under their
management
· acting as an advisor and source of technical advice to members of his/her
team or office
· assisting the GAD or MD to ensure all procedures and policies are
adhered to in his/her team or office
· representation of Millward Brown at professional functions and activities
· contributing to the training program and activities within the office
· making a contribution to company development, such as new approaches,
improvements to company efficiency
Reporting:
The AD reports to the Group Account Director of his/her team or the Managing Director of his/her office.
Personal skills:
The following skills are essential:
· At least 6-8 years experience in Client Service
· Proven knowledge of market research
· Proven knowledge of MB products and philosophy (if being promoted
internally)
· Developing skills in team management and leadership.
· An understanding and experience in staff development
· Background and experience in P&L management
· Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and develop
business
· Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
· Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
· (Hong Kong) fluency in Cantonese and Putongua
