About Our Client Our client is one of the world's leading players in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of generic pharmaceuticals. With over 20 acquisitions in the past 7 years globally, this multinational has two manufacturing plants and several sales offices in China. The company is growing double-digit. The organization has recently made an acquisition in Hangzhou, and is looking for an experienced Head of Finance to be the CFO in the freshly acquired firm and to lead the integration work in the finance arena and drive value creation on way forward.

Job Description: The successful candidate will be a member of the local leadership team managing all aspects of financial and management reporting. As the company has just been acquired, integration, bringing the local procedures, processes and systems in line with corporate standards and driving value creation to improve performance and bottom line will be the prime mission. It is planned that the position reports initially to the China Finance Director in South China where the company is present since 2001 and to the Director of the Hangzhou operation. At the same time, the position holder will have regular and direct interaction with the Finance leadership team of the group who will liaise directly with the Head of Finance of the site. Reporting lines will be reviewed after an initial period of about 6 months. You will take full responsibility of a team leading finance, human resources, IT and administration professionals to establish the corresponding systems, ensure adequate staffing and controls. In this at the same time very operational and strategic role, you will have frequent communication with the top management of the company to ensure this newly acquired entity complies with corporate procedures and delivers on high ambitions.

  • Manufacturing background is a must
  • Qualified accountant preferred
  • Familiar with PRC GAAP and IFRS
  • Previous people management experience is a big plus
  • ERP implementation experience needed, most likely MFG Pro will be implemented
