Job Description:
Controllers' primary functions to prepare the firm's financial statements under China GAAP and US GAAP, and to compile various regulatory, tax and statistical returns to authorities. This position will manage the Controllers department for our client.
Interacting with external auditors and regulators
Work closely with other areas within Controllers, both in China and globally, as well as with other divisions
Preparation of consolidation reporting packages under US GAAP
Preparation of financial statements under China GAAP
Preparation of regulatory, tax and statistical returns to regulators and authorities
Forecasting, planning, monitoring regulatory capital and funding needs
Participation in business initiatives including the development of processes and control procedures to facilitate new products
The Successful Applicant:
First class fluency in English and Chinese - written and spoken.
CPA or equivalent international qualification.
12+ years of Big 4 with investment banking or financial services clients OR solid working experience in accounting field with multinational financial services.
Proven management ability to lead teams greater than 10.
Hands on experience in building investment bank accounting/finance team and policies and procedures.
Strong in US & China GAAP
Ability to lead and obtain results under pressure
Experience in dealing with local securities industry, auditors and regulators is highly valued
Ability to think broadly, to take a global view on issues, and make connections between diverse issues and tasks
Committed, self-motivated and proactive with a desire to succeed
