You will be a member of the System/SAP/Database administration team to manage the Groups UNIX, SAN, Backup system, Oracle, SQL and SAP systems.
Your job responsibilities are to manage daily backup on systems and databases, perform restoration and recovery operations.
Other duties include monitoring system performance and performing capacity planning to ensure that the system response time is within the permissible level.
You will ensure the smooth 24*7 operations of various Unix systems (AIX) and SAN, as well as to provide 2nd level support to Service Desk.
At times, you will also need to participate in feasibility studies in evaluating and introducing new technology suitable for the organization.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess at least a Degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years experience in managing Unix systems, Storage Area Network, Veritas Netbackup system. Experience in IBM AIX, Oracle, SQL or SAP Basis is an advantage.
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently.
