Job Description:

  • Direct the Site Quality Management System, fully integrating into the Global Quality Management System, including cross functional and site specific processes
  • Maintain and improve all aspects of Site Quality Planning
  • Coach and mentor direct and indirect reports to successful understanding and implementation of Quality System Requirements and operational efficiency
  • Manage direct reports? leadership skills development
  • Oversee all quality related communications and training requirements for all site employee
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with outside agencies
  • Host audits and inspections
  • Oversee Corrective Action / Preventive Action activities
  • Report on Quality System effectiveness and requirements to the management teams as required, including preparing and executing facility Quality Management Reviews
  • Drive the definition of site quality objectives, metrics, reporting and operating mechanisms
  • Participate in selected global initiatives to share best practices and leverage quality synergies
  • Act as Management Representative for the Wu XI site

The Successful Applicant:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or diploma and a minimum of 10 years work experience and understanding of product development, manufacturing, quality control and servicing in medical equipment or other regulated environments
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience and understanding of product development, manufacturing, quality control and servicing in the medical equipment industry
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience including hiring, training, coaching and performance management activities
  • Hands-on experience with FDA, QSR, ISO, MDD, SFDA and/or other international quality systems requirements such as ISO 13485, ISO 16949, TS 9000.
  • Proven track record in external and internal audits
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business plans, technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Effective report, business correspondence and procedure writing skills
  • Good problem identification, multivariable analysis and creative resolution aptitude
  • Proven process development and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills and communication and writing skills both in Mandarin and English
  • Flexible work schedule, requiring off hour meetings and teleconferences of a global nature
  • Ability to travel globally, approximately 10%
