A leading UK retail brand and one of the worlds largest retail operations with thousands of stores globally. Due to rapid expansion across Asia, a high profile senior management position is being sought to enhance the group's distribution capability across the region.
Job Description:
• Manage the performance of the Store ordering system for example, waste or known loss, steps, weather etc • Monitor all operational functions and systems employed within the department are effectively performed and maintained• Provide effective management information and daily reporting of service levels and stockholding• Lead the development and management of the central ordering system into Distribution Centre to determine the optimum order quantity, stock level, delivery days and availability• Continually identify and understand industry developments and apply that best practice is used where applicable• Influence Suppliers performance by communicating expectations and managing their performance with the Commercial team
The Successful Applicant:
- Bachelor Degree holder with at least 5 years experience in supply chain of FMCG or Retail.- An understanding of business dynamics outside of Supply Chain; particularly Stores and Commercial- Management experience gained in Distribution and Ordering operations utilising domestic and import Supply Chain techniques- Significant experience of coaching and developing others
