Job Title: Associate Director / Local Director
Department: Asia Capital Markets Group
Reporting To: Head of Structured Finance
Location: Hong Kong
OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
The successful candidate will be part of the Structured Finance team and responsible for providing equity raising and debt advisory services in Asia. The position also entails (indirect) investment advisory to foreign and institutional investors, managing both placement and investment mandates. The role requires a combination of real estate investment understanding, business development, and execution skills in order to develop Jones Lang LaSalle’s capabilities in Asia.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assessment of new business opportunities like equity raising and fund placement mandates in liaison with regional offices
- Sourcing potential (indirect) investors and becoming relationship manager for a selected group of top institutional clients
- Advising appropriate fund/debt structures
- Coach more junior members of the team with respect to financial analysis and fund modeling
- Occasional travel is required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Degrees in Real Estate or related subjects
- Possess at least five to eight years post-graduate experience within a relevant position that may include originating, structuring and executing transactions in real estate investment banking or real estate investment/structured financing with a banking or fund management bias
- Strong preference will be awarded to those candidates that demonstrate a capability to perform client advisory
- Fundamentally, the ideal candidate will understand real estate and will be capable of executing transactions (winning mandates and selling indirect investments)
- Bi-lingual an advantage
- A sound understanding of the real estate market in the Asia Pacific region is a must
