As a director in the product development division, this individual will be responsible for defining and driving the product development function for the entire division. This includes product management delivery responsibility for all projects and product solution released by the divison, as well as working with the varoius field organization on gathering requirments for future product enhacement.
In addition, the individual will apply his/her knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.
Job Requirement
1. Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, and at least 5 years of software engineering management.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese
3. A successful track record of leadership experience with defining, managing, and successfully delivering software solutions and products and meeting aggressive deadlines is essential.
4. A comprehensive understanding and experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, implementation, testing and delivery
5. Ability to work in conjunction and effectively communicate with Product Management, and major customers throughout the different SDLC process phases
6. Experience with Web-based applications development, including GUI development, very good understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA) and application server frameworks
7. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and ability to mentor and grow teams and individuals
8. Experience with development in C/C++, SQL and database environments, .NET, J2EE, XML, Visual Basic, Web Services, BEA/Weblogic and/or another application server.
9. Domain expertise in RFID and Sensor Technology is a plus
10. Experience in delivering high quality software solutions with emphasis on accurate data delivery and data integrity.
11. Experience in working with a growing team of engineers (outsourcing and/or off-shore) in a dynamic and challenging workplace that requires continuous innovation side by side with problem solving skills.
12. Enjoy and excel in a results, deadline-driven environment.
13. Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude, geared towards new products as well as maintaining existing product lines.
14. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
